TOPSHOP - VELVETEEN RIBBON

Today's post is going to be on the infamous Velveteen Ribbon by Topshop which is pretty much every blogger lips right now! Can I just mention that I had to call 4 Topshop's just to find it! I was expecting big things as it is sold out everywhere in London and I am glad to say that it was worth the hunt.
I was so excited that I had finally got my hands on it. I blame Alix from I covet thee, as it looked amazing on her! Plus I am a huge fan of red as I nearly have the entire red spectrum (Lipsticks if you were wondering… It's becoming a crime now not to by a nice red lipstick!)
Velveteen ribbon is probably my new best friend as I have been reaching out for it more, not only is it a reasonable price but it's long lasting which is a plus point. If I was going to compare it to another lip lacquer then I would say it's like the Rimmel Apocalips as they are long lasting too. The only thing that I would change about it is the formula. It does make my lips dry but then again it is called velvet lips but apart from that it's not a massive problem for me.
The shade of the red is a deep red, so the more you apply the more colour intensity you will get. I love bright and deep reds so this is a perfect shade for me as it wearable during day or night. The colour that it gives off is so pigmented so you wouldn't need to keep reapplying it as it stays put throughout the day (If you know me, then you will know I hate having to reapply things….. it's time consuming for me *Shows how lazy I am*) I am so gutted that it's become impossible to find now and if I do find any then I will stock up on them!
