If you follow me on Instagram then you will know that I have been on a shopping spree! I posted this a couple of weeks ago and I did mention that I was going to do a review. The reason why I am posting this after a while is because I wanted to try it out and see whether it actually works! There's no point of me posting something when I don't know whether its actually good and if I can personally see changes myself!

I have been wanting to try Dermalogica for such a long time and hands up guys I am going through a bad skin phase. I feel like my skin is constantly dry and dehydrated which is a horrible feeling, not only that I have been having an outbreak around my T zone. I don't know whether this is me going through some changes or whether its stress but I have never had an outbreak until now. So If you are used to have a clear skin and then all of a sudden you have spots appearing, it actually brings you down and you get so paranoid which isn't good!

I don't wear much makeup so I know its got nothing to do with that and to be honest I think I am just going through a phase of getting spots which I have braced myself for! So enough of me being depressed and lets talk about Dermalogica!

So I went to Dermalogica, they did a skin examination on me and gave me a personalised treatment for what I need and what will help. As far as I can remember the lady did say my skin is fine but I have an oily T Zone hence the spot outbreak. She did give me selection of products to use and she did also recommend me the Normal to Oily skin kit which had the same products but they were the smaller sized ones. The kits are really good and as they are the smaller size which you can test out and see whether they are good for you.

I did purchase the Normal/ Oily skit kit which cost £25.50 from Bentalls in Kingston, the kit contains

  • Special Cleansing gel
  • Skin Prep Scrub
  • Multi-Active Toner
  • Active Moist
  • Total Eye Care
I did use them in order, so I would use the Special Cleansing Gel then the Skin Prep Scrub which was really good as I felt like my skin wasn't dry after using them. I would then use the Multi-Active Toner which I would spritz around my face and leave it on then put the Active Moist cream on as well as the Total Eye Care. If I had to chose what I loved out of the kit then I would say the Skin Prep Scrub as I did feel like it took all the excess dirt off,  next one has to be the Multi-Active Toner because once I put it on my skin feels re hydrated and refreshed and finally the active moist because it just gives that extra moisture to your face so it doesn't feel dry throughout the day!

I do feel like Dermalogica has worked for me by keeping my face hydrated and moist. Also it has helped calm down my outbreak so It didn't aggravate it anymore to cause more spots or breakouts. But I am still having little spots appearing but I am pretty sure I am going through a skin phase.

I would recommend to anyone to actually try Dermalogica products because they are good and they help your skin in many ways. Whether I would purchase it again, I would but only the three I mentioned that I liked! I am currently trying different brands and different products to see what actually helps me, so I am still on the hunt!

I hope you guys enjoyed this post and found some things useful! Let me know if any of you guys are going through a crisis like me with random spots and if you are what are you using?

Is it me or like regardless of the weather, my hands are always dry! I am not going to lie but I am a hand cream horder, like I have a box full of creams.

Once you get used to moisturising your hands, it will become a habit and will constantly feel like your hands are dry (I clearly like to complicate my life by getting in to habits with things)

At the moment I am currently using my Elemis Spa@home hand cream (This was in my April Favourites) which is soooo good! I feel like my hands are sooo much softer than before! I also like that fact that it's not greasy and that you only need a little bit. It's a bit pricey but it goes along way! (Mine is nearly finished but I got loads in line to use still!)

Another hand cream which I use is Australian Bodycare Tea Tree Oil Hand and Body Lotion. I feel like this has really had an impact to the changes with my hands because once I use it, I feel like my
hands are softer and like antibacterialised? You are probably thinking what are you going on about but trust me, it's either the smell which is strong of tea tree oil or it's me being weird as always.....

Okay it would be silly not to put in the body butters from Body Shop! I mean who doesn't have one?! I have the passion fruit one which smells amazing and not mention edible! It's so rich and creamy that it actually moisturises your hands properly when you use it. I know it's a body butter but I like using them as hand creams for some odd reason but then again I am sure that I am not the only who uses them for their hands!

Finally I have miscellaneous ones like perfume lotions which I use every now and again. I would not recommend people to use perfume lotions on their hands as it tends to make your hands more dry and rough but now and again is okay!

You are probably thinking "Akey do you actually use all of these?" And my honest answer would be yes! I change my hand creams every other day and sometimes when I am home, I just use any of them or whatever is closer to me. The one that I am religiously stuck to has to be my elemis hand cream as it's amazing.

So that's my hand cream horder collection type kind of thing....besides that I hope you enjoyed it as some people may like hand creams or are a fan of them? Who knows! Do let me know of you are fan or used any of these!

Where did June go?! I can't believe it's July and in a months time I am going to be 18! Feels so weird saying that!

So I have a fair few favourites this month and I have been experimenting on various things so I will be revealing them to you!

So my first favourite has to be the Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil (Red Dragon) its such a beautiful red colour! I struggle with finding the right red colour for me as it some times looks really weird or it just doesn't go with my skin colour. I literally am I love with this lip pencil! It doesn't dry your lips out and its so pigmented which lasts for the whole day. I will definitely be buying more of these as I am a very big Nars fan! (Also I think its like Ruby woo from MAC)

Next Favourite has to be my Tangle Teezer! Right my hair has a plan of its own, it does not wish to cooperate with me and decides to get all tangled (Don't worry, I don't have dreadlocks!!) I hate having to deal with my hair and I don't brush my hair because it just ends up getting all tangled which then frustrates me so I just leave it. But I decided to invest in Tangle Teezer as I heard that its really good.... Well aren't they right! It actually goes get rid of all your tangles and you will never need to go through the pain of using a hair brush again! Ameen.

So as I have mentioned I am loving lip pencils and I decided to buy a pink coloured one..... I actually found a pink that suits me! This one is from Chanel which is in Fuschia 55, I actually love this and I have been wearing it a lot recently. It also doesn't dry your lips out and I get really irritable if my lips are dry so I will give it a thumbs up!

So the suns out (Finally) in London, which means looking bronzed and tanned! If you follow me on instagram then you would have seen my post on the "Honey Bronze" Shimmering dry oil from Body Shop. It actually smells like honey and gives you this amazing shimmery glow, as its oil you will think that its greasy but its actually sinks in to your skin quickly. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a bit of help to look a bit more bronzed and shimmery! (Although its shimmery, I can assure you that you won't look like Edward from Twilight! Its little speckles of shimmer)

As the sun is out, its time to wear the SPF factor! I always wear creams which have SPF as I just do for some reason, but as the sun is out I decided to find a really good one with a high SPF. So I brought the La Roche-Posay SPF 50+ cream (Anthelios XL). I am always really nervous of trying new creams because I just don't want to have a massive break out but this actually didn't make me break out! If you wear SPF then you will know that some of them are thick and just have a weird feeling afterwards, but this one is so light and you don't get a oily, sticky feeling. I would highly recommend this everyone and I promise you that its amazing!

That's it for my June Beauty Favourites! I know its been ages since I last posted but I will try and keep my blog up to dated! I hope you all are enjoying the sun where ever you are in the world and enjoy it while it lasts!

I will be doing my June Favourites this week, but I will be doing a quick post on them as I do want to give a full review on them so you will be seeing double posts. I have so much to share with you guys because I have been stacking up all my goods to show you!
