Whats Your Routine?
24 July 2013
If you follow me on Instagram then you will know that I have been on a shopping spree! I posted this a couple of weeks ago and I did mention that I was going to do a review. The reason why I am posting this after a while is because I wanted to try it out and see whether it actually works! There's no point of me posting something when I don't know whether its actually good and if I can personally see changes myself!
I have been wanting to try Dermalogica for such a long time and hands up guys I am going through a bad skin phase. I feel like my skin is constantly dry and dehydrated which is a horrible feeling, not only that I have been having an outbreak around my T zone. I don't know whether this is me going through some changes or whether its stress but I have never had an outbreak until now. So If you are used to have a clear skin and then all of a sudden you have spots appearing, it actually brings you down and you get so paranoid which isn't good!
I don't wear much makeup so I know its got nothing to do with that and to be honest I think I am just going through a phase of getting spots which I have braced myself for! So enough of me being depressed and lets talk about Dermalogica!
So I went to Dermalogica, they did a skin examination on me and gave me a personalised treatment for what I need and what will help. As far as I can remember the lady did say my skin is fine but I have an oily T Zone hence the spot outbreak. She did give me selection of products to use and she did also recommend me the Normal to Oily skin kit which had the same products but they were the smaller sized ones. The kits are really good and as they are the smaller size which you can test out and see whether they are good for you.
I did purchase the Normal/ Oily skit kit which cost £25.50 from Bentalls in Kingston, the kit contains
- Special Cleansing gel
- Skin Prep Scrub
- Multi-Active Toner
- Active Moist
- Total Eye Care
I did use them in order, so I would use the Special Cleansing Gel then the Skin Prep Scrub which was really good as I felt like my skin wasn't dry after using them. I would then use the Multi-Active Toner which I would spritz around my face and leave it on then put the Active Moist cream on as well as the Total Eye Care. If I had to chose what I loved out of the kit then I would say the Skin Prep Scrub as I did feel like it took all the excess dirt off, next one has to be the Multi-Active Toner because once I put it on my skin feels re hydrated and refreshed and finally the active moist because it just gives that extra moisture to your face so it doesn't feel dry throughout the day!
I do feel like Dermalogica has worked for me by keeping my face hydrated and moist. Also it has helped calm down my outbreak so It didn't aggravate it anymore to cause more spots or breakouts. But I am still having little spots appearing but I am pretty sure I am going through a skin phase.
I would recommend to anyone to actually try Dermalogica products because they are good and they help your skin in many ways. Whether I would purchase it again, I would but only the three I mentioned that I liked! I am currently trying different brands and different products to see what actually helps me, so I am still on the hunt!
I hope you guys enjoyed this post and found some things useful! Let me know if any of you guys are going through a crisis like me with random spots and if you are what are you using?
Lots of love
Akey xx
